I worked on Under the Waves as Technical Game Designer.

During pre-production, my role was to make diverse prototypes for features at a quick pace. Said prototypes would then undergo testing and I'd have to compile results to make informed design decisions.
(Example: Prototypes of multiple different control models)

I'd also have to find design solutions to work around technical problems
(Example: how to design NPCs that move around in three dimensions (3D pathfinding isn't natively supported in Unreal Engine)).

All prototypes were realized in Blueprints with Unreal Engine 4.

Perforce was used for versioning.
